The UNHCR Regional Centre for Emergency Preparedness – eCentre held a webinar series from 11-20 January based on the long-running Basics of International Humanitarian Response (BIHR) workshop. The webinar was conducted with 29 participants enrolled from 11 different countries. InterWorks was asked to assist in the preparation and facilitation of the eight-day long webinar series, and to host the overall webinar platform. Read more
InterWorks conducted the eCentre’s Security Risk Management, co-sponsored by the UNHCR eCentre and JICA, in a virtual format from 30 November-4 December. This virtual SRM consisted of 11 interactive web-based sessions, including a final critical incident management online simulation. Participants were from 13 different countries and represented a range of organizations including NGOs, JICA, other government, UNHCR and WFP. Read more
InterWorks developed five interactive learning modules as part of a core package of training modules that UNHCR was developing to support the overall redesigned UNHCR Workshop on Emergency Management (WEM) training programme for 2020. Each module was designed to take no more than 30 minutes to complete and were prepared following methodological approaches in line with EMLU’s guidance on development of interactive presentations. The twenty-third Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Emergency Team Leadership Programme (ETLP) workshop, organized by UNHCR on behalf of the IASC, was held from 6-10 May 2019 in Dubai, UAE. The ETLP contributes to more effective team leadership in humanitarian emergency settings by enhancing the leadership skills of participants in their roles as emergency team leaders. Read more

InterWorks conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop from 24 February-1 March 2019 at the BRAC Learning Centre (BLC) in Sreemongal, Bangladesh. The workshop was organized as a follow-on activity agreed by BRAC and the UNHCR eCentre following the successful delivery of the pilot Emergency Response Management and Leadership (ERML) event held near Dhaka, Bangladesh in December of 2018.
