InterWorks, along with the UNHCR and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, jointly planned and supported a workshop on staff safety and security. The workshop, held in Pranburi, Thailand from 25-30 June 2006, was a regional event, drawing participants from Asia and the wider Pacific region served by the eCentre network. The workshop was designed to help participants better analyze the threats that may affect them in their work as well as provide them with a chance to experience simulated field safety and security scenarios in order to practice some of the skills required to maximize their own safety in the field.
Well-structured training event with a balanced content and a progressive learning style. The balance between lecture presentation and participant exercises was well maintained.
