InterWorks, along with the UNHCR and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, jointly planned and supported a workshop on staff safety and security from 18-23 June 2006. The workshop, held in Pranburi, Thailand, was a regional event, drawing participants from Asia and the wider Pacific region served by the eCentre network. The workshop was designed to help participants better analyze the threats that may affect them in their work as well as provide them with a chance to experience simulated field safety and security scenarios in order to practice some of the skills required to maximize their own safety in the field.
Field exercise was good practice for future critical situations and very realistic.
