InterWorks led the IASC Emergency Team Leadership Programme (ETLP) online training, organized by UNHCR on behalf of the IASC from 21 May and 24-27-May 2021. At the request of the IASC, UNHCR serves as the institutional home for the ETLP by facilitating the tendering, overseeing the design, and ensuring the delivery of the learning program. The ETLP is an interagency blended training programme which reinforces individual team leadership competencies and fosters effective, efficient and professional leadership in humanitarian emergency team settings. InterWorks facilitated a webinar series from 25-28 May 2021, based on the long-running Essentials of Humanitarian Negotiation (EHN) workshop for the UNHCR Regional Centre for Emergency Preparedness. Participants were from diverse backgrounds, offices, and countries, representing UNHCR, WFP, WHO, and many other NGOs. Read more
InterWorks facilitated the Workshop on Emergency Management Online (WEMO) for the Emergency Response Team (ERT) roster for two events held 19-26 March 2021 (WEMO1) and 9-16 April 2021 (WEMO2). Overall coordination, planning and administration of the workshops were managed by the UNHCR Global Learning & Development Centre (GLDC) which administers the WEM on behalf of the Division of Emergency, Security and Supply (DESS). The UNHCR Regional Centre for Emergency Preparedness – eCentre held a webinar series from 11-20 January based on the long-running Basics of International Humanitarian Response (BIHR) workshop. The webinar was conducted with 29 participants enrolled from 11 different countries. InterWorks was asked to assist in the preparation and facilitation of the eight-day long webinar series, and to host the overall webinar platform. Read more
InterWorks conducted the eCentre’s Security Risk Management, co-sponsored by the UNHCR eCentre and JICA, in a virtual format from 30 November-4 December. This virtual SRM consisted of 11 interactive web-based sessions, including a final critical incident management online simulation. Participants were from 13 different countries and represented a range of organizations including NGOs, JICA, other government, UNHCR and WFP. Read more
