For IOM Nepal, Interworks developed a 3-day training including 1.5 days of simulation focusing on camp coordination and camp management. This project was conceived as part of IOM Nepal’s efforts to build the capacity of its partners in the Nepali Security Forces to support CCCM coordination and camp management, in response to a rapid onset natural disaster, in this case, a major earthquake scenario. InterWorks co-facilitated an Emergency Management Training (EMT) from 6-13 December 2015 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The workshop, co-sponsored by UNHCR and the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA), was held for a group of Saudi Red Crescent staff who had been selected for a wide curriculum of training in international humanitarian response. The event included an emergency deployment simulation based on the model of UNHCR’s regular Workshop on Emergency Management WEM. Read more
