InterWorks facilitated a UNHCR Global Learning and Development Centre (GLDC) and Field Security Service (FSS) hybrid Security Management Learning Programme (SMLP) in Nairobi, Kenya from 24-28 April 2023. For this hybrid SMLP participants were expected to complete all of the components – two online meetings (28 February and 16 March 2023), three multi-session Learn & Connect modules and a one-week residential workshop.

WORKSHOP ON EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT (WEM)

This WEM Face-to-Face (WEMF2F) is part of the WEM blended learning process which includes: (1) preworkshop self-study, (2) attendance at a 3-day live virtual WEM training conducted via Zoom from 22-27 February, and (3) the 7 day field-based face-to-face (F2F) WEM training course which was conducted for one group from 5-11 March and for a second group on 15-21 March 2023 in Brindisi, Italy at the UN Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD) in Brindisi, managed by WFP.

Security Risk Management (SRM) Virtual Workshop

InterWorks led the IASC Emergency Team Leadership Programme (ETLP) online training, organized by UNHCR DESS on behalf of the IASC from 17-21 July 2023 via the Zoom conferencing platform. At the request of the IASC, UNHCR serves as the institutional home for the ETLP by facilitating the tendering, overseeing the design, and ensuring the delivery of the learning program. The ETLP is an interagency blended training programme which reinforces individual team leadership competencies and fosters effective, efficient and professional leadership in humanitarian emergency team settings.
