InterWorks authored a strategy paper on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in Education for UNESCO’s Education Sector. The strategy paper was intended for UNESCO personnel responsible for the design and implementation of programmes and projects for DRR in education, as well as education interventions during post-disaster responses where such situations can present opportunities for introducing or strengthening DRR in education. The strategy paper included as an annex the most relevant in-house and international tools and resources for education planners and managers for DRR in education. Where possible, the strategy included guidance on how to ensure that specific results and indicators for gender equality, EFA, formal and non-formal education, teacher training, and capacity development are integrated into projects for DRR in education.
