Lutheran World Federation (LWF) Nov 2015
InterWorks developed and conducted a refugee emergency management simulation for Lutheran World Federation (LWF) from 2-4 November 2015 in Geneva, Switzerland. The simulation was designed to help participants appreciate the context, the roles and the mechanisms associated with a LWF emergency relief operation within a broader coordinated humanitarian response.
During the stand-alone simulation exercise, participants experienced important aspects of a complex system-wide refugee emergency response environment including the dynamic of a humanitarian relief system; the role of LWF and the operational procedures within this system; the common challenges, issues in rapid refugee influx emergencies; and applying lessons learned to future LWF operations.
