InterWorks facilitated for the UNHCR Regional Centre for Emergency Preparedness – eCentre first/pilot version of a new condensed disaster management introductory course online from 11-14 December 2023.
This IIDM on-line webinar was designed to increase overall emergency response capacity in the region by improving participants’ understanding of the international disaster response system and increasing their ability and confidence to work in the disaster management field; improve the quality of protection and assistance received by persons in need, by increasing awareness of accepted standards of international humanitarian assistance; facilitate more concerted disaster response by promoting an understanding of the importance of coordination among partners; and meet other disaster response professionals, network and exchange ideas.
