Human Rights Based Approach to Programming Workshop (HRBA)

United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) | Sep 2010

InterWorks conducted the Human Rights Based Approach to Programming workshop from 13-15 September 2010 at the UNDP office in Brasilia, Brazil. Conducted in Spanish, the workshop’s title was: “El Enfoque de Derechos Humanos en el Proceso de Programación.” Agencies represented by the workshop’s 28 participants included ILO, PAHO/WHO, UNAIDS, UNDP, UNEP, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNIFEM and RCO.

The workshop objective for participants was to understand the rights-based approach in development programs and planning processes and the linkages to the national development plan. The workshop methodology was dynamic, and included a balance of presentations and group-work exercises where participants had to apply the theory and tools learned during the presentations.

‘El taller como un todo fue muy bien.’
[The workshop as a whole was very good.]
