InterWorks led the UNHCR eCentre for Africa’s first Essentials of Humanitarian Negotiation (EHN) workshop in Nairobi from 19-21 November 2024.
The workshop was the conclusion of the overall eCentre for Africa Learning Programme for the English-speaking cohort. This Essentials of Humanitarian Negotiation workshop was adapted from the EHN materials developed by and used successfully for the eCentre Asia. It focused on strengthening participants’ abilities to negotiate effectively in humanitarian situations. The instructional and learning methodology for the workshop was focused on practicing negotiation skills. The workshop combined short presentations and multiple negotiation role play exercises to use and apply the skills that were introduced.
