InterWorks facilitated the Workshop on Emergency Management Online (WEMO) for the Emergency Response Team (ERT) roster for two events held 11 – 18 June (WEMO3) and 25 June – 2 July 2021 (WEMO4). Overall coordination, planning and administration of the workshops were managed by the UNHCR Global Learning & Development Centre (GLDC) which administers the WEM on behalf of the Division of Emergency, Security and Supply (DESS). Emergency Team Leadership Programme (ETLP) Online Training

InterWorks led the IASC Emergency Team Leadership Programme (ETLP) online training, organized by UNHCR on behalf of the IASC from 21 May and 24-27-May 2021. At the request of the IASC, UNHCR serves as the institutional home for the ETLP by facilitating the tendering, overseeing the design, and ensuring the delivery of the learning program. The ETLP is an interagency blended training programme which reinforces individual team leadership competencies and fosters effective, efficient and professional leadership in humanitarian emergency team settings. Security Risk Management (SRM) Virtual Workshop

InterWorks facilitated two virtual Security Risk Management (SRM) workshops specifically for JICA personnel upon request of the Planning Division of the Security Management Department of JICA in Tokyo. These workshops were based on the 2020 JICA SRM workshops conducted in Japan and Kenya and also the UNHCR eCentre/JICA virtual SRM which was first conducted in December 2020 for participants from a mix of JICA, UN, NGO and government staff. This year, the first JICA virtual SRM took place from 18-22 January 2021 and the second took place from 15-19 February 2021. Read more

WEM Interactive Learning Modules

InterWorks developed five interactive learning modules as part of a core package of training modules that UNHCR was developing to support the overall redesigned UNHCR Workshop on Emergency Management (WEM) training programme for 2020. Each module was designed to take no more than 30 minutes to complete and were prepared following methodological approaches in line with EMLU’s guidance on development of interactive presentations. Remote Emergency Preparedness eLearning Self-directed Courses

Comprehensive Disaster Preparedness Framework, developed by InterWorks LLC, September 2020. Based on UNISDR/UNOCHA “Disaster Preparedness for Effective Response: Guidance and Indicator Package for implementing Priority Five of the Hyogo Framework”

Interworks developed three remote emergency preparedness Articulate elearning self-directed courses and prepared workshop module outlines to support a blended learning disaster preparedness workshop consisting of online pre-workshop self directed activities, and a follow-up residential workshop. Training themes included: overview of emergency preparedness strategies and principles, interagency disaster preparedness frameworks and platforms, and resource mobilization.

Programme Criticality & Acceptable Risk eLearning Module

InterWorks developed an e-learning module as part of an SMLP package. The module “Programme Criticality & Acceptable Risk” included content pages, text, simple graphics and also interactive reflection questions or exercises, short tests or assessments of key concepts, links to key references, and where relevant and available, public domain or UNHCR produced images and short video clips embedded in the module itself or via links to readily available online content (such as on You Tube).
