It was held at the at the Seapine Hotel (formerly Suan Son Pradipat Hotel) and Fort Dhanarajata infantry training center in Thailand, with support from the Royal Thai Army per their longstanding arrangement with the UNHCR eCentre. Practical Mixed Refugee and Natural Emergency Field Exercise

Security Risk Management Workshop
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Feb 2023
The Security Management Department of the JICA Planning Division in Tokyo requested InterWorks to lead an in-person Security Risk Management (SRM) workshop this year. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, an online version of the JICA SRM was developed and implemented in 2021 and 2022. This SRM workshop, which took place from 30 January-1 February 2023, was based on the original (2020) agenda with minor modifications made based on experiences during both the in-person and online JICA SRM workshops. InterWorks conducted a UNHCR eCentre “Basics of International Humanitarian Response” (BIHR) workshop in Fort Dhanarajata, Thailand from 6-14 November 2022. Twenty-five participants from UNHCR, government and NGO counterpart institutions participated, representing 11 different countries in the Asia Pacific region. Read more

The UNHCR Regional Centre for Emergency Preparedness – eCentre held the third Basics of International Humanitarian Response (BIHR) Online workshop from 17 – 20 January and also 24-27 January 2022 based on the long-running BIHR face-to-face workshop. The workshop was conducted for 31 participants mostly dealing with the Afghanistan situation. Participants were mainly from Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Tajikistan. Read more
