InterWorks led the UNHCR Regional Centre for Emergency Preparedness – eCentre’s second condensed and online version of the Basics of International Humanitarian Response (BIHR) Online workshop from 26-30 August 2024 based on the long-running BIHR face-to-face and online workshops. The online workshop was completed by 29 participants from UNHCR, NGOs, and government counterparts from several countries in the region.
The five half-days, comprised of 10 distinct sessions, provided a concise and engaging overview of the range of humanitarian emergency response topics. The intent of this concise online workshop, hosted the event on Zoom, was to provide the essential aspects of the broader BIHR course at a more introductory level, and for a shorter duration, allowing more staff to be able to participate in the event from their own offices while continuing their day-to-day duties.
It was effective, informative workshop, also very participatory. Learn lots of new thing specially from other sectors like wash, education, side development etc. Come to know about different countries emergency sector. share with each other’s.
