InterWorks conducted the eCentre’s Safety In the Field exercise from 21-25 April 2025 outside Bangkok, Thailand. It was attended by 22 participants, all of whom were from the Republic of Korea and enrolled in this workshop to strengthen their capacities and members of the Korea Disaster Relief Team (KDRT). They included participants from KOICA, the National Medical Center and the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare.
The objective of the workshop was to address basic elements of personal security for staff in the field, including a discussion of the interlinkages between security and protection. The workshop was highly participatory, emphasizing hands-on application of tools and skills. Participants were expected to apply lessons in practical and realistic exercises and field simulations.
I really enjoyed this program and the lessons learned will be my valuable asset in my next deploy duty.
