United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) May 2024
InterWorks designed and led the first LeadER Learning Programme held in Nairobi, Kenya from 14-16 May 2024. This was a customized 3-day training course, along with a curated set of preworkshop readings and self-assessments, related to team leadership in emergencies, followed by a number of tasks to be carried out before end-2024. Based on the IASC ETLP sessions, concepts, and exercises for the UNHCR eCentre Africa, the LeadER programme’s purpose is to improve the ability of participants to lead teams effectively, make decisions in emergency settings, and negotiate desired mission outcomes.
The day 3 training was interesting because of negotiation among the team government and humanitarian and actions and development
