The rLeads training programme enhances the skills and capacity of IOM managers to lead RMM operations globally, providing support for safe evacuation, resettlement, relocation, family reunification, repatriation, return, and other migration-related activities. The programme includes pre-training online assignments followed by a five-day onsite residential training course.
The rLeads course is designed to be highly interactive, incorporating tabletop simulation exercises, role-plays, case studies, experience sharing, interactive presentations, plenary discussions, and collaborative group work. The first programme took place from January to February 2024, culminating in a five-day training session in Ukunda, Kenya. The next rLeads programme is scheduled to run from February through April 2025.
