InterWorks facilitated the UNHCR eCentre BIHR workshop in Hua Hin, Thailand from 27 September – 4 October 2010. Held annually, the course focused on 3 main elements of international humanitarian response: (1) Technical knowledge of the humanitarian sectors, (2) practical field skills, such as radio usage, GPS and map reading, first aid, etc., and (3) coordination and interpersonal skills (including negotiation and communication skills) of the multiple international and local responders into an effective humanitarian response.
I take back 211 years of experience. Could identify where the gaps are there within me as professional while working in field – improvement will be easy to achieve. What to expect in emergency – the most unexpected. Great skills of facilitation and session planning.
