InterWorks developed training materials for IOM and UNHCR Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) training program. As co-cluster leads, IOM and UNHCR contracted InterWorks to develop training modules for the role of camp coordinator.
A survey was conducted to guide the identification of priority topics for development of the training programme. The survey also identified key learning points that were recommended to be included in the training modules. The training modules were intended to support a standalone workshop on camp coordination as well as to be used in conjunction with other modules covering technical aspects of camp coordination, camp administration and camp management for future training events.
A workshop was held in Larnaca, Cyprus from 27-29 June 2007 where ideas for session designs were tested and feedback was given from the participants, many of whom had experience relevant to working with clusters. Participants also provided content that was incorporated into the training materials for a subsequent pilot workshop.
