UNESCO May 2009
InterWorks facilitated the UNESCO Post-Conflict and Post-Disaster (PCPD) Preparedness Training 23– 26 February, 2009 in Bangkok, Thailand. The course provided participants with vital PCPD-related knowledge and tools to assist them in preparing, planning and mobilizing resources for a UNESCO integrated response in post-conflict and post-disaster settings within the larger national or United Nations/IASC humanitarian response. Participants included Country and Regional Directors, program officers, sector program specialists and Ministry of Education/National Commission staff.
The training will impact my knowledge base/capacity. The translation into action depends on UNESCO provision of resources, human and financial.
