InterWorks facilitated the United Nations Development Group/Human Rights Mainstreaming (UNDG-HRM) group annual planning retreat from June 28 – 30, 2010 in New York. The retreat was designed to assess current needs of more systematic and coherent support for the integration of human rights principles and international standards into UN operational activities for development. During the retreat, participants developed an implementation strategy for the UNDG-HRM for a three-year work programme. Guest speakers included the Resident Coordinator from Rwanda who helped provide the view, or “reality check”, from the field.
