InterWorks facilitated a one-hour webinar, “Preparedness and Contingency Planning for COVID-19 and its Impacts on Other Emergency Response Preparedness”, on 11 August 2020 for the UNHCR Regional Centre for Emergency Preparedness – eCentre.
As a pilot project, the intent of this initiative was to focus on a short, relatively simple-to-conduct webinar that would be of value to UNHCR and partners. The overall webinar design, preparation, and facilitation of case-study presenters was done by InterWorks with technical support and webinar invitation and hosting services provided by the eCentre.
The webinar was designed to achieve the following stated objectives:
- Update one another on issues relating to the impact of COVID-19 response planning on other emergency preparedness planning through sharing of short case studies
- Build experience-sharing networks within our community of practice
- Raise emergency preparedness issues that need further discussion in the Asia-Pacific region.
